In addition, if you do not pass or if you otherwise receive an unsatisfactory grade for a course or Specialization, you will not be issued a refund or voucher, unless you qualify for a refund as set forth below. For Session-Based Courses and Specializations (courses and Specializations with a registration deadline)

If you elect to cancel your Verified Certificate registration for a session-based course, Coursera will offer you a complete refund until two weeks after the course’s Verified Certificate registration deadline, or until the end of the course, whichever is earlier.
For courses and Specializations on the new platform

In certain sessions of some courses (as indicated as part of the sign-up process), you may request a course voucher if you do not successfully earn your Verified Certificate or if you wish to cancel your participation after the refund deadline. This voucher is valid for Verified Certificate registration in a future session-based offering of the same course, provided that the future offering occurs within one year of the voucher’s issue date. Please be aware that Coursera cannot guarantee that another session will be offered within one year. If you paid for your Verified Certificate registration with a voucher, or received financial aid from Coursera, you will not be eligible for a voucher.
If you elect to cancel your Course Certificate registration for a course on the new platform, Coursera will offer you a complete refund until two weeks after payment, or until you have earned your Course Certificate, whichever is earlier. If the course opens after your payment date, Coursera will offer you a complete refund until two weeks after the course opens or until you have earned your Course Certificate, whichever is earlier. If you do not earn your Course Certificate within 180 days, your registration will expire and you will need to pay to re-register for the course.

If you elect to cancel your participation in a Specialization for which you have paid in advance, the refund deadline for the first Specialization course in which you enroll will apply to your full advance payment. If you have not enrolled in any courses in the Specialization within one year of payment, you will not be eligible for a refund. Unless otherwise indicated as part of the sign-up process, you have one year after you purchase a Specialization to complete the Specialization. Course vouchers will not be issued for advance Specializations payments; however, you may enroll in multiple sessions of the same course at no additional charge.
