## STATUS
## SUMMARY

The activity within the project has been low during summer month. People
started to be more active very late in this quarter. Our main focus is
currently divided, between OpenOffice development topics and Infrastructure
topics. Branching and volunteer recruiting receive only little attention.

This report has been sent in with a month delay due to full time schedules in
January. The Project did a release in November, containing bug fixes and a
security fix. The development regained activity concerning the modernization
of the code and build environment itself. One result of this development has
been that the process for releasing 4.2.0 has built momentum again.

## ISSUES FOR BOARD AWARENESS
## ISSUES FOR BOARD AWARENESS

There are no current topics to be concerned with.
Issue: CVE-2018-16858 It is a moderate security vulnerability affecting
another program. We were notified that it could be impacting OpenOffice in a
significantly less dangerous form. We are still investigating. If OpenOffice
is actually affected, a fix will be included in the next release.

4.1.x is still in maintenance. We are discussing a parallel 4.1.7 release. The

Plan is until end of month to have a release candidate.

in maintenance by the developer team. We thank infra for their patience and

support.
However due to the summer month, we did not finish the migration, yet. We
missed our own plan. We have now a deadline of 30th of November from Infra. At
this date the old VMs will be switched off. We are confidant and eager to
finalize the migration until this deadline.

little development has been done in this branch. However, without help from
outside the Project it's expected that this problem won't get solved.

We have applied for an own booth on FOSDEM next year, answer still pending.
We did not get a booth on FOSDEM and at first our application for a
documenters room was rejected. On short notice we were notified that the
documenters room has not been rejected. Some of our developer community will
still meet at FOSDEM, but with smaller engagement then in the last years due
to the short notice.

The German booth team will attend more conferences in Germany.
