Outside is seeking an experienced Senior Tech Editor to join the Outside Cycling Road & Gravell editorial team, to lead and orchestrate the groups’ editorial output around bike technology and reviews.

Outside is seeking an experienced Tech Editor to join the Outside Cycling Road & Gravell editorial team, to contribute and execute the groups’ editorial output around bike technology and reviews.

This Senior Bicycle Tech Editor must be ambitious and organized, possess a video-first mindset, and be able to meet the daily demands of a high-paced content organization.
Our Bicycle Tech Editors must be ambitious and organized, possess a video-first mindset, and be able to meet the daily demands of a high-paced content organization.
The Senior editor should have a passion for reporting on and reviewing all the latest gear and bikes, have a high degree of mechanical aptitude and be able to sense the difference that 0.25 degree change in head angle can have on a bikes’ performance, as well as lead and organize a team of tech editors around our goals and targets.
The Tech Editor should have a passion for reporting on and reviewing all the latest gear and bikes, have a high degree of mechanical aptitude and be able to sense the difference that 0.25 degree change in head angle can have on a bikes’ performance, as well as work within our team of tech editors around our goals and targets.
The Senior editor is expected to travel the world to some of the best riding locations to test all the latest equipment.

Most importantly, this editor must have a deep passion for bicycle technology, and ample experience working on bikes.

Our focus is largely road and gravel bicycles, however this editor must also be stoked on all types of bikes, from e-bikes and mountain bikes, to commuter rigs.

In the first six months the Senior Tech Editor will plan, create, and orchestrates all gear coverage for the Outside cycling group including Outside Cycling Group, CyclingTips, VeloNews and Outside, and works to provide consistent, relevant, and exciting gear content on all platforms.

Interact with brands across the bicycle industry to keep up on trends and new products, and also travel to launches, often overseas as a key aspect of this role.

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $68,000 to $85,500. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and more. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $45,000 to $58,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and more.
